How to Escape a Hair Pull

Someone pulling your hair and dragging you away is one of the most common assaults on the street!

Do you know what to do to escape it?

Read on for some tips.

Go Towards Him

If someone tries to grab your hair, your initial instinct may be to run away.

But that’s a bad idea…

Not only will it hurt, but you will likely be pulled off balance.

Instead, move in towards the attacker as you grab their hand(s).

This sets you up for the next step.

Attack

Once you are close, attack!

Do so with all your strength and high aggression.

It doesn’t need to (and shouldn’t) be anything fancy.

Just use basic self-defense strikes at primary target areas.

A simple kick to the shin or knee to the groin is perfect.

Finger Bend

If your self-defense strikes aren’t enough to make him/her let go, try using a finger bend to force your attacker's grip open.

It is basically isolating one or two fingers and bending them back.

Conclusion

Self-defense is a very fluid thing.

Since every situation is different, there is no ‘one’ right way to do something.

In general, you want to keep it simple.

Strike hard and then get away.

Also, don’t forget to scream for help.
