There are many types of parkour vaultsā¦
But not all of them are useful when you need to run away from an attacker.
In the Survival Fitness Plan we focus on practicality, so here are the three best parkour vaults to use when trying to escape an enemy.
The speed vault can be used to quickly pass over small to medium-sized obstacles that are too large to hurdle over, such as concrete chairs or park benches.
It is a good idea to learn the safety vault first as that will give you a good foundation so you can do this intermediate vault without getting injured.
The turn vault is useful to cross a rail and similar obstacles.
You can also use it to get over low fences or walls.
Lastly, there is the Kong Vault, sometimes known as the ācat vaultā or the 'monkey vault' as well as having some other names also.
This vault is particularly useful to get over longer or higher objects.
To do the kong vault, first start with training in ground kongs.
Vaults are extremely useful to overcome obstacles when running away from an opponent, and these are the three best to learn.
