In this post I want to quickly explain why the original Survival Fitness Plan broke down, and how the new version is going to fix it.
What Went Wrong
There are two main reasons I had to stop training in the Survival Fitness Plan.
The first is due to physical injury.
As I moved out of my 20s and into my late 30s and early 40s, the same training that once felt fine kept injuring me.
Although I tried, the fact is that I didn’t understand biomechanics deeply enough to offset aging.
Younger bodies rebound. Older bodies keep the receipts.
The second reason is that it was just too complicated.
Although I designed the Survival Fitness Plan to be minimalist, the reality is that there is just too much going on.
Parkour, self-defense, swimming, rucking, mountain biking…who has the time, equipment, or seasons for all that?
So, the question is, how will the new version of the Survival Fitness Plan fix these issues?
1. Minimize injuries by integrating science-based biomechanics.
2. Simplifying the program. Less activities and less techniques within the activities that are kept.
It’s probably gonna take me a few months before the new version is up and running.
But once it is ready, you can expect a training system you can actually follow for life, without breaking down, burning out, or needing a garage full of gear.
The Survival Fitness Plan Mach 2 is coming...
And it’s going to be simple, strong, and built for the long haul.
Self-defense + Parkour + Fitness = You're Unstoppable!
