Why We Boulder Vlog
Practical
Bouldering is highly practical for the Survival Fitness Plan.
When you are running away from someone you will not have any equipment or the time to use it even if you did.
So if you come across something you need to climb over, you will have to use bouldering skills to do it.
Accessible
Another reason to boulder is that it is more accessible in the sense that you can do it on any climbing surface without the need for equipment.
If you know how to boulder and have the basic skills and safety knowledge, you can probably do it anywhere in the world as long as you get out there.
And since it is low to the ground, it is also safer.
If you want extra safety while practicing outdoors, you can get a crash pad.
Full Body Workout
Lastly, bouldering, like all types of climbing, is an excellent full-body workout.
We use flight subjects as a way to get fit in the Survival Fitness Plan.
Climbing may not raise your heart rate as much as parkour, swimming, or self-defense, but it does tone your entire body.
Conclusion
So, to recap…
The three reasons why you should boulder are:
- It’s practical
- It’s accessible
- It gives you a full-body workout
But this doesn’t limit you from doing other types of climbing. If you prefer something else, then do what you enjoy, because doing something is better than doing nothing.
