Please keep in mind that I’m not an expert on these things. I had to research the hell out of becoming GDPR compliant to put this document together, and it’s probably still missing some stuff. If you are a GDPR dude and notice an error, please let me know.
Super short version: We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Also, we make money from this website.
Okay, here we go…
This policy only applies to this website. Other people might use information from this website on their own website – that’s republished content and we can’t control it.
If you want to republish content from this website, please contact me for permission.
When you sign up to the newsletter your email gets collected. You can unsubscribe at any time at the bottom of every email, or by emailing me directly. Things such as if you open the email, click on a link in the email, unsubscribe, etc. are tracked. This means that we can see what actions you are taking. We rarely look at it, but we have the option. This information is stored in the database of our email client. It is not passed on to any other people or companies.
Emails we send include newsletters, website updates, promotional material, and administrative notices.
Survival Fitness Plan uses MailerLite to manage and send emails to subscribers. MailerLite is a 3rd-party provider, which may process your data using industry standard technologies to help monitor and improve the newsletter.
When you leave a comment, whatever information you put is stored in the Survival Fitness Plan database. In most cases, we ignore this information. Occasionally, we may email a user to answer a specific question with sensitive information. Also, if you leave a comment, the information you put will be publicly visible. Things like the name you use, your avatar, the comment, your website link, etc. Your email address will never be available publicly.
Other 3rd Party Services
Survival Fitness Plan uses google analytics and other plugins that automatically track your actions. They may track technical data such as how you found my website, what pages you looked at, what links you click, and other actions you make when on the website. Unlike MailerLite, these 3rd-party trackers collect anonymous data. This means that we can’t see that is was you personally that did the action, but your action is counted along with everyone else’s. We use this anonymous data for marketing and analysis.
Survival Fitness Plan uses security plugins which will log your IP address, operating system type, browser type, etc. This is to protect the website against spam, hackers, and other illegal activity.
This is selling other peoples products. When you buy something via a link on this website chances are we will get a small cut. It does not make the product cost you any extra, in fact, sometimes you will get a discount.
In order for this to work, tracking links are used. You are not obligated to click on any link or purchase anything advertised. Also, we have no control over the actions of the companies selling the products. Products can change at their discretion, and the product availability, sales with the organization, and all transactions with the 3rd-party are not associated or conducted by Survival Fitness Plan.
You should assume that every single link on our site is an affiliate link or compensation link (not every link is, but just assume it anyway).
Survival Fitness Plan is an affiliate for Amazon Associates.
Sponsored Links, Advertisements, and Posts
Very occasionally, Survival Fitness Plan accepts payment in exchange for link placements, advertisements, and posts. Sponsored posts are credited to a generic “Guest Poster” alias. If the original writer or advertiser wishes to be credited it will be noted in the post.
Links from these posts may be tracked anonymously.
Survival Fitness Plan only accepts links, advertisements, and posts from relevant advertisers.
If you have any questions or concerns about the integrity of the Survival Fitness Plan website or any of its income streams please let me know via the contact page.
