The first thing you should do is deter, which is similar to prevention.
How are you going to do it?
Staying fit gives you an advantage because you are less likely to be a target. It is also helpful if you have to run away.
Wear nothing flashy that could attract the attention of criminals, and as you travel, try to blend in with the locals.
Prevention is the key.
If deterring fails, you must defuse the situation.
You can use verbal self-defense by talking them down or simply backing away.
Do everything you can to avoid a fight.
If you were unable to deter and defuse the situation, now is the moment to defeat your opponent.
In the Survival Fitness Plan, the blitzkrieg self-defense strategy is the best way to deal with an aggressive opponent.
Go in hard and don’t stop until the threat is gone.
The three D's of self-defense are to deter, defuse, and defeat; a straightforward process of escalation in a fight situation.
