Although the Survival Fitness Plan is created by Bert Luxing, the manuals are authored by two others. Aventuras De Viaje and Sam Fury.
Aventuras (pictured above) has three passions. Travel, writing, and self improvement.
Combining these three things Miss Viaje spends her time traveling the world and learning about all the things she loves (yoga and tantric practices in India, massage in Thailand, multi-cultural cooking, languages, etc.) as well as teaching herself many new skills.
She takes what she learns and shares it with the world through her books.
Aventura’s “how-to” books are perfect for those that don’t have the time and/or money to take professional classes or would just like to learn in the privacy of their own home.
Think yoga, massage, cultural experiences, the great outdoors, etc. and you’ve got Miss Aventuras De Viaje.
Sam has had an interest in self-preservation and survival (e.g., wilderness medicine, fighting, fitness, escape and evasion, urban and wilderness survival) for as long as he can remember.
His accumulated knowledge is a result of years of formal and informal training, career-related experience and a general interest in survival, martial arts, the military, adventure travel, and other outdoor pursuits.
Describing himself as a ‘Survival, Minimalist, Traveler’, he has now devoted himself to traveling the world taking training courses (Jeet Kune Do and Wing Chun in China, Mixed Martial Arts in Thailand, Arniss and Escrima in the Philippines, Wilderness Medicine in the US, Parkour in Singapore, survival courses in Africa, etc.) and sharing what he learns through his training manual style books.
